Instruction
To be safe, please keep the battery voltage above 12.5V while writing the file.
Powergate 4
Reading Process:
1. Scan the QR code in the user manual to download the Powergate 4 app on your smartphone.
2. Create an account in the app and enter the authorization code sent via email(make sure you are using the same email as registered on M-Force website).
3. Connect the Powergate 4 device to the vehicle’s OBD2 port using the provided cable.
4. Turn the key to position 2(Ignition on). The dash will light up and you’ll see how much fuel you have.
5. Open the app and select your vehicle make, model, and engine type.
6. Click DTC, screen shot if there is any code shows up.
7. Click ECU type and then ID.
8. Allow the app to read and follow the instruction as display on screen.
9. Confirm sending the file to M-Force’s servers for tuning.
Writing Process:
1. Connect the Powergate 4 device to the vehicle.
2. Check the cable is stable, the car key is in the car during the process.
3. Check bluetooth and wifi is enabled.
4. Turn the key to position 2(Ignition on). The dash will light up and you’ll see how much fuel you have.
5. Click writing on the app.
6. Choose the mod file.
7. Follow the screen prompts. Please make sure everything stable, don’t get interrupted during the writing process.
8. Wait for confirmation that the ECU has been successfully written.
9. Wait for another 1 minute and then start the engine.
Your vehicle is now tuned!

Powergate 3+
Reading Process:
1. Use OBD cable connect with vehicle and Powergate device.
2.Turn the vehicle ignition on but not start the car. (Push start button twice)
3.On main screen, hit diagnosis then go to vehicle list. Select your vehicle’s model. (Key on and confirm) Ok. DTC code will show up, then go to next. Take a picture of the Pop up screen and save it for later use. If no DTC, click X. If there are DTC, click No to continue. Operation completed, click ok to continue. Then, go back to the main screen.
4.On main screen, click Tuning. Select your vehicle’s model. (Key on and confirm) Ok. Stock file missing, start to read the ECU? Click yes to continue. Saving date, it’s reading by itself, just wait for those two green bar full. Then, reading completed, switch ignition off and disconnect M-Force Powergate 3+, click ok to continue. It will back to main screen.
5.Turn the vehicle ignition off and unplug OBD cable from the vehicle. Then bring the device with your windows system laptop or desktop.
6.Go to our website mforce.ca. Login and go to account. Download setupPG151 and 7zip. Install 7zip, then use 7zip to extract setupPG151.
7.Install setupPG151 and connect your device to your laptop or desktop. Wait for update (do not skip).
8.After it finished update, main screen will pop up. Please go to download data, then start. Save the file name as your order number- your vehicle license plate (0001-ABC0001).
9.Please send an email the title with your order number, and attach the original file and the DTC codes if exits on step 3. to pg3-file@mforce.ca.
10.Send us a text message with your order number and email address. We will let you know when we get your file.
Writing Process:
1. Once you receive your tune file, save it to your desktop. You will NOT be able to open it because it is encrypted.
2. Connect the handheld to the laptop/desktop.
3. Open the M-Force PowerGate 3+ software, deevice should light up.
4. Click on the Upload tab.
5. Select the tune file and allow it to save on the handheld. The software will tell you when it’s complete.
You can now go out to your car and plug in OBDII.
6. Plug the OBDII accessory to the vehicle and the handheld.
7. Turn the key to position 2(Ignition on). The dash will light up and you’ll see how much fuel you have.
8. The handheld screen will light up and show the main menu.
9. Click on Tuning tab
10. Click on the yes to continue with the writing of the file
11. Select the tune file ending with New and follow the screen prompts. Please make sure everything stable, don’t get interrupted during the writing process.
12. The handheld will tell you when the tuning process is completed.
13. After the tune is on the vehicle you can turn the car off and unplug the handheld.
14. Wait for 1 minute. Let the vehicle do the calibration by itself. After that, you can all the way start the car.
Your vehicle is now tuned!
MyGenius
My Genius Device Reading Process instructions
1. Install the MyGenius software from https://tinyurl.com/mygsetup
2. Plug the handheld into the USB port of the computer and wait for the main menu to light up.
3. Click on the Update tab.
4. Select one of the check boxes.
5. Do step 3 and 4 a total of three times, selecting a different check box each time.
(It’s okay if you forget which ones you’ve done, just start over.)
You can now go out to your car and plug in OBDII.
6. Plug the OBDII accessory to the vehicle and the handheld.
7. Turn the key to position 2(Ignition on). The dash will light up and you’ll see how much fuel you have.
8. The handheld screen will light up and show the main menu.
9. Click on the Work tab.
10. Click on the PRT Identify tab.
11. Follow the screen prompts. After a while, another menu will appear.
12. Click on the ID tab. Continue following the screen prompts until it tells you the process is complete.
13. You may now turn off your car.
14. Connect the handheld to the laptop/desktop.
15. Open the MyGenius software, this time all the tabs should light up.
16. Select the Download From MyGenius tab.
17. Select your stock file.
18. Save the file to your desktop so it’s easier to find.
19. You can now close the program.
20. You can send the original file that you saved on your desktop to file@mforce.ca with the subject as your order number.
